The Art of Bronze Sculpture.

Bronze is not just a metal it is a living material that holds within it the breath of the creative gesture. In my studio in Baulne, every piece begins in clay. I shape and model, letting my hands converse with the material until a form emerges a face, a madonna.

Next comes the wax stage, the heart of the "lost-wax" casting technique passed down from ancient founders. This delicate wax mold is coated in ceramic, then heated: the wax melts away, leaving a hollow space where molten bronze will be poured. It is an almost magical moment, when fire turns fragility into permanence.

Once cooled, the bronze is chased, polished, and patinated. The patina is truly the sculpture's final soul: depending on the oxides and techniques used, it can turn deep green, warm brown, or intense black, revealing the relief and emotion frozen within the metal.

In bronze is to accept a dialogue with time between ephemeral clay and eternal metal, between spontaneous gesture and technical rigor. Each of my creations, carries this tension between fragility and permanence, which I believe is the very beauty of this ancient art.
