Anmarie Leon.

Parisian for about twenty years, I studied graphic art in the Faubourg Saint Antoine district where all the passages were full of craftsmen. This experience is for me the origin of my creative journey. Always inhabited by sculpture, I started by making hundreds of heads. Accumulation has always been my guiding thread, influenced by new realism artists of the 1960s like Arman with his accumulations, Spoerri's meals, his trap paintings that refer to an image of profusion. I then started picking up rusty cans in a parking lot, crushed by cars to make paintings. I also collect objects that I collect and store by category and color They are then fixed, nailed or glued to a wooden or metal mat, a kind of trophy or totem, then colored either with body paint or bomb, It's my way of making my revolution.
